Electromagnetic frequencies can affect many sensitive electronics, and can cause a wide variety of different issues from a simple hiss on a communication line, to a total disruption of a safety critical signal. Cables can be a main source and receiver for EMI. As a source, the cable can either conduct electronic noise to other equipment or radiate the noise like an antenna. As a receiver, the cable can pick up EMI from other sources.

Delikon Electromagnetic Shielding Heavy Series Over Braided Flexible Conduit and Heavy Series Connector protect automation data and signal wire and cable from signal distortion caused by nearby equipment and devices or prevent a stronger signal from leaking out and interfering with surrounding electronics. The outer braided shield of the over braided flexible conduit creates a barrier that separates the electric field surrounding the central conductor from anything outside. This is achieved by forming a metallic screen to absorb the electromagnetic interference that is being transmitted through the air. The shield effect is based on a principle used in a Faraday cage, the metallic screen completely surrounds the cables. The screen absorbs the transmitted signals, and causes a current within the body of the screen. By absorbing these transmitted signals before they reach the sensitive circuitry, the protected signal is kept clean of electromagnetic interference, maximizing shielding effectiveness.

Delikon heavy series connector is tough, durable, and has an internal grounding clamp that provides proper shield termination and grounding to ensure the safety of workers and equipment.
